Dear friends and colleagues,
Common endoscopic procedures cause a steady rate of complications.
Due to its surgical character and degree of invasiveness, therapeutic
endoscopy however demands an even greater awareness of the complications
associated when going beyond standard procedures.
Aims of our symposium are to
|
identify complications and complicated situations |
|
communicate unforeseen events |
|
develop strategies to avoid or minimise complications |
|
demonstrate therapeutical measures in case a complication happened |
The Scientific Committee and I invite you to come to Hannover in
June 2011, listen to the experts’ lectures and share your experiences
with the other participants in our working groups. We would especially
encourage you and your staff to send in abstracts of complications.
The best ones will be presented as lectures in the main progamme
and receive prizes, all others will be presented in a poster exhibition.
Looking forward to meeting you in Hannover!
